Frosty Morn

Yesterday when I woke up there was a thin veil of fog barely piercing through the sunrise. It was really beautiful and I wished that I could capture it, but knew that my photography skills weren't up to it.

There was a sparkling coating of ice on the trees. In limited quantity it's pretty; ice storms and the destructive crackling, not so much.

I did manage to capture this cardinal just as he was taking flight from the top of my mini twisted birch.
